I tried some new food items this week and thought I would share my thoughts on those.
On Monday, I had the Artisana raw almond butter with a honeycrisp apple. I did not like this almond butter. The flavor actually tasted like the walnut butter instead of almond. It was weird. I was beginning to think Artisana filled my packet with walnut butter instead of almond! I ate it anyway to get some protein in my system in the afternoon.

Today I tried the peppermint mocha Nescafe instant coffee. I loved the flavor as it got me excited for the holidays with the peppermint taste.

Breakfast all week has been the Bear Naked Fit Vanilla Almond crunch granola with greek yogurt and milk. Love the taste of it--not too sweet and I like that it is low in sugar (4g). I redeemed some of my Stonyfield yogurt rewards points for this bag, so it's even better that it was free!

I was in the mood for an egg tonight, so I poached one up for dinner. I paired it with Green Giant Valley Fresh steamers roasted red potatoes, green beans covered in rosemary butter sauce. I was able to get the Green Giant package for free courtesy of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker program. I had tried this product before and loved the flavor, so I got it again and wasn't disappointed.

It's chick flick night in my household. I am taking a rest day from exercise since I've gone three days in a row and I am plopping myself on the couch to watch Something Borrowed while drinking some mulled wine and painting my nails. I've been loving going to the gym so much and feeling really great when I get home, but sometimes a rest night feels wonderful too. Don't you agree?

I have to admit something to you readers--I don't really like girly books like Something Borrowed and sometimes don't even like those types of movies and fast forward through them. I hope I don't have to do that with this one! I am more of a historical fiction or non-fiction kind of girl when it comes to books and a documentary/foreign film person. It is nice to read books like Something Borrowed while vacationing and to switch things up now and then.
Night!
I liked the almond butter the best, the walnut butter did taste similar now that I think about it. Something Borrowed was a cute movie, not one I would buy or watch again, but it was good to watch once. Did you like it?
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it wasn't just me who thought they tasted similar. I love almond butter, so I was a little disappointed at the odd flavor.
ReplyDeleteI actually liked the movie and agree with you--not one I would buy or watch again, but it was cute. My hubby came in towards the end of it and was making fun of how typical the dialogue was and how fake, but it was nice to watch something light for once.
I agree! It was good to watch on a night when I just didn't want to think :)
