Craig and I are avid researchers when it comes to buying anything, so purchasing this toaster without a review meant we were taking a chance, but I am glad we did (I was frankly sick of watching the ads for toasters and looking at them at the store). Most of the reviews on other toasters made us nervous because people seemed to get lemons or the options on the toaster weren't sufficient for their needs.

So far so good with how it toasts evenly and the different options on the toaster are nice too. There are buttons to push for bagel, defrost, reheat and cancel and then there is a dial to adjust the shade of the toast.

We like it a lot so far, especially compared to our old toaster. I don't have to worry about Craig leaving the toaster plugged in and it turning itself on (like our old one did). I felt like our old toaster was possessed and I was kind of scared it would start on fire.

Here is the latest thing I toasted--a whole wheat bagel. Our old toaster was old so the slots weren't wide enough for bagels and they used to get stuck. With this new one that features bagel wide slots, I don't have to worry about that happening.

Positives: nice look (modern); does not get hot on top or on the sides; easy to use; like the wide slots; trust the Cuisinart brand because I have had good luck with their products in the past.
Negative: The only negative aspect we found so far is that the electrical cord is kind of short. We had to put it in a certain spot on our counter due to this fact. Why are products coming with such short cords lately?
If you have any further questions about this product, I'd be happy to answer them for you.
Disclaimer: We purchased this product with our own money and this is my honest review. :)
Bought this toaster --- the bagel function is supposed to heat on the center side only --- it heats both sides --- exchanged it --- same thing with the new toaster --- very frustrating ---
ReplyDeletepurchased the Cuisinart CPT-220TN today and am wondering if the browning control knob is supposed to turn so easily.. it stops where it's supposed to, but no resistance what-so-ever.
