Europe on my mind

I love traveling to Europe. My mom and I are going to Germany, Switzerland, and Austria in May of 2013 and I managed to find airline tickets for only $685 each round-trip. Luckily, both flights are direct (which gives me hope that our luggage won't be lost). If I hadn't been home nursing my sprained ankle and had an extra loving cat named Karma on my lap, I probably wouldn't have found those tickets on the Kayak app.

I recently started reading this book, which is perfect timing. I am getting geared up to travel with my mom and show her some of my favorite countries and where I lived in Switzerland.

My mom and I drove back and forth between California and Wisconsin many times when I was in grad school. We're a good team together and I know this adventure I am taking with her will be a memorable one, just like our cross country trips were.

I've had Europe on my mind this week and will continue to until we depart on that plane to Berlin in May.
