Garden update: July 2013

If you have a garden this year, how is it doing? Ours has been thriving, thanks to humid weather and lots of rain.

I can't wait till these guys turn red so we can make salsa and bruschetta!

And I am looking forward to picking these so we can add them to salads.

To make room on the pepper plant, Craig picked a green one earlier this week. I wanted it to keep growing and turn red. :( I'm not a big fan of green peppers, more because of how they react with my digestive system vs. how they taste.

The one concern I have is that we won't get any strawberries this year. This plant was supposed to provide us with fruit in June. Anyone else had bad luck with their strawberry plant so far?

I hope our garden continues to do well and love the weather we are having this summer!

  1. My garden is looking great, which is good news for you :) Speaking of, we should arrange a time to transfer my garden to your house before your surgery.

I've been meaning to do a post similar to this one, especially in regard to the Ark of Taste vegetables which have really taken off.

  2. Your plants don't look unhappy to be in containers at all! My sister always does a few killer tomatoes and peppers in pots which was part of my incentive to put a few more herbs on the patio this year...
