Target and Lots of Lounging

My weekends haven't been too exciting since I can't do a whole lot until I can walk on two feet again. That's ok though, because being forced to sit a lot allowed me to do things like finish a book and watch Orange is the New Black before our free month of Netflix ends. I just realized that I didn't step outside once all weekend though.

In fact, meeting Craig at Target after my physical therapy appointment on Friday was pretty exhilarating for me. Is it weird if I say that I missed the smell of and sights of Target? It's been over a month since I was in one. I couldn't look at the cute accessories or clothes (too tight to get through with a motorized cart), so we just shopped for food and that made me happy.

That's Craig in the picture below returning my motorized cart. :) Target's carts scored the lowest in terms of speed.

I had my first alcoholic drink in over a month. It tasted really good! I love Ciderboys cider and the fact that it's a Wisconsin based company.

I have been eating these new Kashi Sea Salt and Olive Oil Hummus Crisps all week. I received them from BzzAgent and they're pretty good. I wasn't so sure about the flavor at first, but they're starting to grow on me.

Of course, I played with Tanzi a lot. He is fond of brown paper bags and popsicle sticks lately.

I received a Julep Maven box in the mail on Saturday. Not sure I'll continue this box subscription since I don't want to go overboard with my nail polish collection. I like the two colors they picked out for me and I'll be sure to share them when I paint my fingernails soon.

I found the new(ish) Chobani flavors (apricot and blackberry) at Target on Friday and tried out apricot over the weekend. It was just ok. Definitely not one of my favorite flavors.

Sunday was just plain dreary, so we stayed in the house. Craig got sick this morning and I was stuffy and sneezy from my seasonal allergies, so all in all, a lazy day was much needed. I did get some work done and that felt good to accomplish. I feel caught up on things around the house and in life, so that's an awesome way to end the weekend and start a new week!

  1. That is pretty bad if your Target trip was one of the week's highlights ;-) But the down time is allowing you to chronicle your vacation which will be a great memento in the future!

  2. I've never heard of Ciderboys, where do you buy it? I need to pick some up the next time I'm in Wisconsin.
