Hey, how was your weekend? Mine was good! A little bit of work and play.
I survived teaching my first "group exercise" class on Saturday! Granted, I only had 5 people to teach (vs. the 8 I thought I was going to have) and that was perfect for this nervous lady. It ended up going well! I am sure my students could tell I was nervous, but I gave them the best TRX class I could. The class participants rated it highly on their surveys. One of my participants said "Lisa was an excellent teacher!" in front of my boss.
Note, I didn't get a picture of the class setup, so I took this one from the internet instead. My class participants did this exercise though!
Once I got home, I had a bit of a meltdown and vented to Craig, but that's a story for another day. I had to keep focusing on the positive things that happened that morning.
Like this positive thing--I finally picked up Gone Girl again after trying to read it a year ago. I'm loving it so far and doing all sorts of guessing as to how the story may end.
On Saturday afternoon, we headed to Chipotle for lunch before hitting up Target and Trader Joe's. We used to be pretty loyal to Qdoba until they changed their menu. They displeased us by raising their prices and on top of it, vegetarian burritos are the same price as meat based ones. Not cool. So, we have now committed to Chipotle for fast Mexican food. I love the sofritas burrito, with green tabasco sauce.
Craig always has to get his chips and hot salsa. He's picky about his salsa, but he liked Chipotle's.
This caught my eye in the Target dollar area. I should have purchased it.
I picked up a box of frozen macarons at Trader Joe's. Pistachio is still my favorite flavor.
Last night, I watched The Fault in Our Stars and balled my eyes out. I hadn't read the book, so I wasn't familiar with the story. Movies like that always make me appreciate my happy life and all of the little troubles just melt away.
I worked at the gym again this morning and worked out after. My triceps are super sore from the TRX tricep exercise I taught yesterday, so I didn't do any lifting today and got some cardio in on the Cybex Arc Trainer.
The rest of the day, I caught up on things around the house, raked with Craig and now we're watching Django Unchained again. Love ending Sunday night with a humorous movie. I've decided Christoph Waltz is one of my favorite actors.
Hope you have a great week!
I'm so excited for you on your new milestone in your fitness career! Congrats, Lisa!
