My Everyday Life [Week 18]

I did a lot of reading last week. I enjoyed the mushroom story in Edible Milwaukee. It reminded me that we need to use our mushroom growing kit soon and I need to share it on the blog this week!
National Pretzel Day was last week! My mom and I are big pretzel fans, of course.
Craig and I took a little adventure to the local University near our house and nerded out in the library. The size and selection was underwhelming to Craig, but I just enjoyed reading magazines there and relaxing.
I love the scent of this new body wash I picked up at Target a couple of weeks ago!
I read Pema Chödrön's Fail, Fail Again, Fail Better, last week and there were some great passages. This page really resonated with me.
It was my 8 year workiversary on Thursday! Wow, how did I end up at one job for that long? Crazy! Anyway, my colleague Kerri was so sweet and made my day by bringing me the ET figurine I wanted. My boss also left me a nice card and work branded water bottle!
My drink of choice last week was white wine. I'm trying to use up old bottles. I turned around at one point and laughed because it looked like Pema was the one drinking wine.
Love this Milwaukee magazine health issue that just came out!
Shiva post a cat nip crazy state of mind.
Tanzi mid cat nip craziness. He turns into a kitten when he smells it.
A yummy new veg wrap that I had at work!
I love this oatmeal I ordered from Vitacost! The flavor is delicious. It's gluten free too, if you're celiac or gluten intolerant, you may want to check the brand out.
We still don't have a dining room table or much on the walls for that matter.
I helped my friend Danielle and her family move most of Saturday. This was the scene. Luckily, they already had a lot of the bigger items packed up and I mostly cleaned.
Craig had to work a 14 hour shift on a huge project on Saturday, so I drank wine with Pema at night.
I watched America's Test Kitchen. They were making a really delicious looking meringue cake. I'm kind of sad that Christopher Kimball isn't part of the show anymore.
 That was my week!

  1. I haven't seen any of the new episodes sans Chris Kimball but was happy to hear that they weren't replacing him someone new. I haven't listened to their podcast in awhile either, I especially liked him on there.
