I made vegan rice krispie bars with the pumpkin flavored Dandies and they turned out perfect!
Yup, this was me a couple of weeks ago and in fact, this past weekend too. I've been discovering new family names and locations. It is so much fun!I read this article at the doctor's office and it was so good!
Tried this locally made juice.
I was reading the latest VegNews magazine one night and when I turned to this page, I was shocked! A photo I posted on Instagram made an issue! There's my little kitty Tanzi famous in a vegan magazine.
Hi albino squirrel! We call him "Al." Not very creative, but it works. He's still hanging around and so cute.
This was pretty good!
Had a delicious lunch with the girls at one of my favorite restaurants.
These were really unreal. I will order more from Vitacost soon.
One of my black and white photo challenge pictures.
Day of the dead yoga at a new studio. It was a great experience.
I finally attended the wonderful Festival of Books this year! I was so happy to be around fellow book nerds. My former boss gave a great talk at it too! (Hi Jennifer).
This was one of the best Half Price Books finds I've had in a while. Stories about my lighthouse keeper ancestors are written about in here and so helpful to my genealogy research.
I would definitely purchase these again.
After he talked about it for days, we finally made it to Chipotle. Yes, I realize Chipotle is not that unique, but Craig had a medical procedure and couldn't eat for about two days so he was famished and all he wanted was a sofritas burrito.
Love this quote (and Picasso). He definitely knew his purpose. What's yours?
This is how I have felt about yoga, hiking, reading, and ping pong lately.
I have made time for yoga and it's been wonderful. I need to go again soon.
Another impressive (and free) class thanks to ProHealth Care.
Went to a seminar and met so many kindred spirits and inspiring women. It was one of those days where it felt so great to connect with others face to face.
YES!
Before a much needed haircut. I was trying to grow out my hair a little bit, but it got dry and stringy on the ends so I knew it was time to get to the salon.
I always ask for curls as my style since I can never get them as cute myself. My hair appears way shorter than it is in real life.
YUM! This place is one of my favs.
A delicious cous cous falafel bowl at Naf Naf grill. The staff member who helped me was so sweet and let me try the two spicy sauces. They were yummy!
This reminds me of Thusa. I worked with her in California and we used to have lunch nearly every week. I think she knew I was a bit sad out there and wanted to help me feel better. She accomplished that so naturally just by being a sweet person. Unfortunately, she lost her life a couple of years ago to an illness and was only in her 30's. She used to say this and I teared up thinking of her when I saw it at the store.
David's Tea finally came to Wisconsin and I purchased a small bag to try it out. This flavor was nice. I drank it on my way to see this lady...
Drank that tea on my way to see my adorable and talented mama at a craft fair. I surprised her!
Found an adorable blue bird (makes me think of happiness and Gretchen Rubin) and some beautiful smelling soap.
Great documentary!
Went rock climbing again! I still get a little scared in the beginning. We timed ourselves up a wall this time and tried a few new areas.
Finally stopped by a new bar/liquor store in Pewaukee. I picked out these two bottles to try. Hoping they're good!
*waves* hi Lisa, it was nice to see you too. I made the waterzooi at home as demo'd by the Wisconsin foodie and his wife and it was yummy. It's one of those basic recipes that aren't too difficult and you can't really mess it up.
