My Everyday Life [Week 7]

Here's what week 7 looked like!

A full moon and fresh coat of snow to start the week off.

I woke up on Monday morning and cried tears of joy reading Joaquin Phoenix's Oscar acceptance speech. I am so thankful for his bravery.
Craig had a little fun in the snow.
Movie night at home! The book is always better than the movie.
 This was really yummy!
My love on Valentine's Day. He wore my favorite shirt.
 All three of my loves.
Tortilla soup is delicious!
The winter sun and shadows are so pretty.
I rarely buy new books, but I could not get two of these at the library and "How Not to Diet" is worth purchasing because the proceeds go to a good cause and I love the author's work.

Side note: as a I approach 40 this year, I am finding that my hormones are definitely changing as I age and I am fascinated by getting them under control. I've heard "Period Repair Manual" is amazing!
Loved this month's Vegancuts box!
I'm a big Michael Pollan fan and I was so happy to listen to this on a walk outside today. I really want to listen to his new book "Caffeine" now. It's only being released on Audible.
My fingers used to be cold when I was outside for more than two minutes, but these Kombi mittens have kept them toasty. My hands are usually sweating when I get back from walks and I'd much rather have that than being frigid.
 Beautiful Pema.
Naughty! This guy literally winked at me when he was on the ground. He was cute to watch.
Steel cut oats with lots of delicious fixings this morning.
Self care Sunday! My skin has been feeling really dry lately so this seemed to help a little bit.
I learned to knit this afternoon at my parent's church! It helped to have a good teacher who was patient.
I'm borrowing some knitting needles so I can practice with YouTube this week. I'm so lucky my mom gave me a bunch of yarn to practice with.

When I went home to practice, the cats were so fascinated by the yarn and needles. I had to be very careful as Pema was so nosy, per usual.
After class, I went over to my parents's house to visit and catch up.

It was a great week! I'm just sad the weekend is over already. It went so quickly because I went in to do some overtime at work yesterday and then spent an hour at the gym there afterwards.

  1. Miss you and you two are so adorable. I had never heard of Period Repair Manual. I may take a look at that one.
