Wedding

My friend Laurie got married on Saturday to Todd. They had their ceremony and reception at Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee. Here are some photos. I know when I was wedding planning, it was fun to look at photos.

Bride and me. Isn't her dress gorgeous? None of us saw pictures ahead of time, but this is exactly the type of dress I was picturing Laurie in.

I like this picture and Laurie's pose. It reminds me of a moment I had during our wedding ceremony where I just felt shear joy to be marrying Craig.

Gorgeous and delicious cupcakes on every table. Craig and I shared a chocolate.

The vegetarian dinner option was tortellini with tomato sauce. It was yummy!

The brewery. I had never been there before, so it was fun to see the interior. I didn't picture it to be such a small operation. My favorite is Lakefront's pumpkin beer.

This is a cute moment too. It was hard to get great photos in there because of the lighting, so this one appears a little grainy.

Laurie and Todd have an exciting year ahead of them! They'll be traveling to Europe soon and maybe moving there too. I am so happy for the newlyweds!

We have two more weddings to go to this year and both aren't until August and September. I definitely don't have enough friends to be going to 10 weddings per summer, which is a relief! I know some people go to a wedding a weekend, which would be exhausting!

If you are planning a wedding, are you keeping it small or going all out? Ours was small. I had been engaged before and planned a huge wedding. A small one was what Craig and I both wanted. I actually didn't enjoy planning. Too many decisions and they all involved lots of money! We went all out on our honeymoon to Europe instead. :)

  2. I am planning my wedding and I want to keep it small. I definitely think there are better places that I could spend my money. I have just started looking at wedding dresses online and I love all the lace ones like what your friend is wearing. Do you know where she got it? I am so in love with the Jim Hjelm lace ones but I definitely cannot afford their price tag :(

  3. Thanks for all the great ideas I could sure use some, as my wedding draws near. :)

A great wedding graphic just came through my twitter feed. It's a wedding photography guide for brides and thought it would be something that you would like to post for your visitors.

Hope you like it, and find it helpful, I know I did (as a soon to be bride).
