After eating dinner at Juniper 61 last Sunday, my friends and I headed to The Ruby Tap in Wauwatosa's quaint village. It's located right next to my favorite frozen yogurt place, Yo Mama.
The Ruby Tap is a self-service wine bar that also serves Wisconsin beers, cheeses and desserts.
After The Ruby Tap co-owner, Sarah, explained how everything works, we were on our way to picking out some wine to try. The wine selections can be poured in 1.5, 3 or 6 ounces.
I finally decided on a 1.5 ounce pour of the Lange from Oregon.
I really liked being able to read more about the wine on a label below the bottle.
The interior is really cool with repurposed wood and pictures of the owners' family members on the wall. We sat in a cozy area in the back that featured a couch, chairs and a coffee table.
Thanks to co-owner Sarah, we got a nice photo of all of us ladies together. We all really loved the concept and coziness of this place! I definitely would love to go back sometime to have dessert and wine.
If you are interested in learning more about the owners, the business and seeing more photos, I urge you to check out this great article from The Brookfield Patch or Lori Fredrich's article from OnMilwaukee.com.

Your 1.5 oz pour looks lonely in that big glass :) I still have only been to The Ruby Tap once which is a shame. Unfortunately Mondays seems to work well for people to go out, which is the only day they're closed, but Muddled Mondays at Juniper 61 is a nice substitute :)
