Salba chia has been cultivated through years of research to produce trademarked varieties that have the highest concentration of nutrients of all chia. It is also the most consistent from crop to crop. Salba chia, a blend of the only two registered varieties of Salvia hispanica L. – Sahi Alba 911 & 912, is the most superior form of Salvia hispanica L. on the planet.
Salba Chia Gram for Gram provides . . .
- 325% more fiber than oatmeal
- 800% more Omega-3 (ALA) than salmon (EPA/DHA)
- 30% more antioxidants than blueberries (based on ORAC values)
- 1500% more magnesium than broccoli
- 200% more potassium than bananas
I really enjoyed bringing these chia packets to work to pour chia goodness into my yogurt.
I shared a packet with my mother-in-law, who had never had chia seeds before and is always concerned about getting her fiber and Omega-3s. She told me she put them in her ravioli and couldn't taste them at all. I had suggested she add them to oatmeal or yogurt, but I guess ravioli works too!
I never would have thought to put them in salsa either, but this was really delicious.
Thanks Salba!
I like adding chia or flax seeds to smoothies. I've read that flax are slightly more nutritious but I prefer chia since they can be eaten whole and don't need to be ground like flax does.
