My sister and her husband were in town from Minnesota too!
The usual fun with my crazy nephews was had. I'm convinced that Nathan is a mini-Craig and is going to grow up to be an IT guy who also DJs weddings on the side because he's obsessed with playing music. He's such a technology geek like his Uncle in-law.
I was happy to have a totally free day on Sunday. I took a walk outside and enjoyed the spring flowers.
Craig mowed the lawn and just happened to discover a big hole in the yard, which led him to find this little bunny! It scampered off away from the hole and hid in the grass. I managed to quickly grab the DSLR and get a few good shots of it!
Later in the afternoon, we went back outside to check on it and needed to intervene. It hadn't made it's way back to it's hole, so Craig grabbed some gardening gloves and placed it back where it belonged. Eventually, it went back into the nest. We were so happy it was still alive and safe! We thought we saw the mother come to feed it later that night.
Since I worked Saturday, I had off today! I started my day off by pumping up my bike tires and then testing out my Fitbit Surge in the bike mode for the first time ever. So cool to use that vs. the MapmyRide app.
I didn't go too far because I also wanted to go on a walk around the neighborhood while listening to a podcast. I'm competing with a colleague on the Fitbit app and I want to beat her steps this week!
I headed to the mall mid morning. I had a reward gift certificate to use up at Eddie Bauer and found this cute fedora to purchase! Since I am so fair, I like to wear hats in the summer to protect my scalp and face from burns. I always wear sunscreen too, so it's not that big of a deal that the brim on the hat is small.
I'm going to head outside to read a book and magazine! It's a cloudy, yet warmer day which is perfect for sitting outdoors!
One last thing--remember the great Pearls Olives package I posted about last week (it contains four types of olives and a lunch bag)? I've got one of those to giveaway to a lucky reader. Just leave me a comment about your favorite way to use olives and make sure I have your e-mail address. I'll pick a winner on Friday, May 8th and e-mail them directly. Good luck!
My favorite way to eat olives is right out of the jar. Someday I hope to have a great olive bread recipe but I haven't found one yet. You can email me at ingerjw at live dot com.
